Phishing is the act of sending an e-mail or text message to a user while falsely claiming to be an established, legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be usedĀ for identity theft.
First Southern Bank would like our customers to know that we would NEVER ask for personal information, such as social security or account numbers in an e-mail or text message. If you ever receive an e-mail or text message allegedly from First Southern Bank asking for this type of information, you should NOT RESPOND to it and notify us immediately.
